Tips

You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the port of Puerto Villamil. From here, it takes around 60 minutes by boat to “Los Túneles”, a spectacular geotope characterized by volcanic activity. On the way there, you will have the opportunity to observe numerous birds and marine life, including pelicans, blue-footed boobies and possibly even Galápagos sea lions. On arrival, you can explore the geothermal lava formations created by thousands of years of erosion and volcanic activity. You will see tunnels and bridges of black lava rock surrounded by crystal clear water, often populated by sea lions, turtles and various species of fish. A highlight of this tour is snorkeling in the natural pools of the tunnel systems. Here you can observe numerous tropical fish, sea turtles, rays and sometimes even seahorses. On the land areas around the tunnels, visitors can often spot Galapagos penguins, marine iguanas and various bird species. The special attraction of this area is its remote and untouched nature. After visiting the tunnels, the group will usually enjoy a light lunch at a nice spot nearby. In the afternoon, the boat returns to Puerto Villamil, where the tour ends.
